Senior Portraits in Nyhavn, Copenhagen.

Melanie and I became friends through our international church FIBC and unfortunately after three years it was time for them to return home to the US.  Their daughter, Millicent, graduated earlier this year and Melanie asked if I would do her Senior Portraits before they returned home in the summer.  I wanted her to have memories of her time in Denmark so decided that Nyhavn would be a great location for the shoot, boasting colourful homes and the waterfront is it one of Denmark's best landmarks.

Graduating students in Denmark traditionally receive a student cap.  I asked her to bring it along as I thought it would add to the nautical atmosphere so prevalent in Nyhavn with all the moored yatchs and boats.  Isn't she just drop dead gorgeous?

It was a particuliarly bright summer's day in June, even at 5.30 in the afternoon when the shoot began.  I also managed to get a family shot and a few with mum and daughter.  Aren't these people just stunning? One would think I hired models for the afternoon!  Thank you Melanie and Millicent, it was so much fun.  Seeing these images again just makes me miss this gorgeous family so much.
